year 2 sem 1 is starting in an hour's time. so fast, yet the holiday feels damn long. can't wait for school to start again. this shows uni life is much better- at least i'm looking forward to taking 45 minutes train ride and squeezing on 96 to Arts Faculty again. haha~ I miss chatting with friends at the Deck too. yeah! it opens this sem! with aircon!

been travelling a little too much this holiday. troubling xienlin with my piggies. promise! one last one to Krabi and I'm done for this year. I think.

thinking about my 3 months holiday, mmm.. it's rather good. a fair share of work & rest. fun, relaxing and loving moments.. met new friends and still loving my old friends.. if given a chance, I would love to go back there and work again~ for money sake too! haha!

will be looking forward to -

1) arts bazaar! will be setting up a muffin stall with Brian & friends

2) french level 2. pls let me do well and go France. pls pls pls.

3) Krabi trip. shall be skipping 1 day lecture for that.

4) eh. saturday lectures with brian & leonaaaaa... well, it makes my wk day shorter =) looking forward to the food-&-chats after lecture!

5) of cuz, my birthday. derrick derrick derrick~~ =D

6) driving test!!! I MUST pass the first time!

7) Christmas!!

Derrick's Birthday

Derrick's Birthday on 17th July. (for those who forgot.. hehe) brought him to Marina South Pier for some fine dining =) at the restaurant 'Pier Eleven'. very romantic and quiet place for couples. I bet most people don't even know there's food at Marina South Pier. Now you do. theres the dine-in-the-boat thingy there too.. was previously at Clark Quey I guess? serving All American Texas Grill.

Starter - warm caeser salad. the white colour thingy in the middle is egg, still watery yolk inside. suppose to break it, mix and eat with the salad. delicious!!even simple bread & butter taste so good - it has to be.
for the price that I've paid. haha! hurhur, still tan after Bintan.. it takes me years to fade off.

mine's pork. with baked and mashed apple on top, & mashed potato below.

see how thick the pork!! I think it's about 2cm thick?!
Amazingly, it is tender & tasty, not tough & bland.

then we went up to the Bar to cut cake and have a drink. One-for-one offer that night! I prefer it up there.. much nicer than the restaurant as we were practically under the stars (luckily it was a clear night) with soft ballet music behind. The waiter even told us a table in front of us was going to have a proposal from the man. and we saw him taking the flowers.. but didn't kneel down.. haha!

Fairy Cup Cakes

been wanting to do this cupcake ever since I bought the icing flowers. finally got the mood and time to do =) since it is so girlie and gift-like, I made it mostly to give to people around me. well... I just hope it is not too sweet for women who are constantly on diet. haha~! but, if a dessert is not sweet, then thats not a dessert anymore!Sunday noon, I dragged Derrick down to the cake making shop to buy some dye.. but it was closed. sigh. waste my cab fare!!! Hence I came home depressed, thinking that all the cupcakes would be white colour.. so boring.. then while preparing the ingredients, I saw my sis eating Dragon fruit!!! the dark purple one!! So I thought.. why not use the juice of the dragon fruit? hehehe! so I stole a couple of pieces, mashed and drained it! there! Natural food dye! happy!

Good Food @ Tong Shui Cafe  

dinner with Derrick at Thomson's HK Cafe. tried it with family. think it's damn good, hence I brought him here. must try~!! it opens till 6am!

Kiwi & Lychee Ice blended! very very very good!! must try!
Peanut butter and strawberry jam. must be wondering why pay the money to eat this when u can do at home.. but but but.. the differences are .. the bread is really soft and the peanut butter is not sooo sticky that it can stick my papa's fake teeth out! better than some other HK cafes that are everywhere now. tried the one at Marina Sq, that really suck compare to this.

Fried Prawn & Mango roll the mango is no fake! gives the prawn roll a tangy taste!

Mango pudding - this is just average. nothing special.

Must try the fried prawn & mango!! very appetizing! This shop is at Thomson. Opposite the famous prata shop. The shop is all red with lanterns. very easy to spot! =D
