singapore is seriously boring. other than going to shopping centres and movies, what else can we do? the usa trip makes me realize this even more. sigh.
so weekends ago, derrick suggested we go for a picnic. so happy and enthusiastic about it! i prepared Bento boxes for us to picnic there! hehe i cooked teriyaki chicken with jap rice and side dishes! happy!the Cooking Mama DS game is pretty good for learning how to cook! haha!
Bubbly teriyaki sauce!

at MacRitchie park! romantic sunset dinner.. haha. costless too!

quite nice huh. i didnt remember it being so scenic before. cuz everytime im there, i was doing that stupid school's cross country marathon. eek!
this ugly monitor lizard. spoil the whole mood. i thought it's crocodile at first!

Sunday, September 21, 2008

FANG MIN'S 21ST BIRTHDAY! after soooooooo long since we last met up, we finally see everyone together for this year's 21st birthdaysss. went to some japanese restaurant for dinner buffet. wow it was good man. delicious food they have! salmon-attack as usual, and i swear fang min eats that fish like a cat! hahaa table full of food! 2 more rounds to go! we were too busy eating until the camera was forgotten.
and finally our dessert birthday cake. mango mousse!

the funny thing is. lin, yuen men and i thought either one of us would buy the present for her. so i thought she bought, she thought i bought. then we realized, no one buy the present!!! aaahhh! we were all so confused and fangmin was sitting there laughing at us. how embarrassing -_- hence we cut the cake without present. haha.
just a pathetic card. oh my....

we eat chat eat chat. until we're the last to leave the restaurant. still not enough chats, we moved elsewhere and chatted till 4am! women do have alot to talk about!!

Happy Birthday Fang Min!! promise the present is on the way!

The Southern Ridges

Saturday, September 20, 2008

some time ago, derrick and i went to the much-said tree top walk at Hort Park there. aei aei.. after coming back from New York's adirondacks, this tree top walk feels more like a garden stroll. everything there is so clean and manufactured. we wore sports shoes and sports wear, preparing for a little bit of hiking. but when we reached the Southern Ridges, we just stroll hand in hand -_- so disappointing. prolly we should try the HSBC Tree Top walk instead. aei aei..there's no need to step on soil at all! all metal pathways! nature walk? yeah rite.

the weather was so freaking hot. the air is so warm i can steam a bao there. the ground is so hot i can cook a sunny-side-up. just like any other days now. sigh
Henderson Wave - pretty nice place for a romantic walk

it's quite a nice walk/stroll.. we started at queensway area and ended up at Harbour Front Mount Faber in just about 1 hr 30 mins? worth trying!

a happier note

Monday, September 15, 2008

sigh sigh. when I was in New York, I gave my pigs' welfare to a friend to take care of them for the 3 months that I was away. sadly, not even half way through the summer, a call from her telling me that the brown pig has died. i don't know why.

when im back home. hoping to bring home my left over pig -the black one- the friend told me that it died too. i don't know why.

the full impact of my loss wasn't felt through sms and calls. it only came when I went to pick up the remainings of my pigs. the empty cage, food and litter. my heart ached like as though a huge Sumo wrestler sat on it. sigh.

they had been with me for one and a half year only.. and died an unnatural death, which I'm not even sure of. poor things.

Thankfully, to mend my loss with a happier note, Derrick gave me a surprise Part I birthday gift --- a Netherland Dwarf bunny! it is only 9 weeks old now! cute little furball. Derrick never favours guinea pigs, hence a bunny was his idea to fill the empty cage. He was so funny and cute when he revealed that "gift" to me =) he made my day!

and this furball is so cute and gentle! I swear to its life that I will put it in a pet boarding house the next time I'm oversea!! **promised** I've learnt my lesson!
baby bunny has a white collar of fur around the neck, but too bad it's too furry that it cant be seen here. its white paws make it looks like wearing glove too! so cute!
**promise I will put it in a pet boarding home the next time I'm away! no matter what cost!! arhh!!
