exams over! of cuz fun is here! met up with Murni, my roomie in Martha's 104, for a little get-together. we lunched and shopped -- and I bought 'Acheron ' the moment I finished reading it! omg it's such a gooood book!! I smiled laughed and cried with the characters in it. it's fantastic! thanks to ling~! anyways, murni and I went back my home to do some baking. she missed the kitchen! hence, she's the one doing all the washing. im so mean. haha!

we made chocolate chip muffins.. the same thing.. it's the easiest, fastest and most convenient recipe

and we realized time was on our side, we did one more.. kinda a failure in appearance. it supposed to look like butterfly on top.. butttt.. some of them turn of to be clams...lips...wadever...

ok this was a squashed up one by murni.. haha the "wings" were still too crispy from baking. should have waited for it to cool down more~

sis made this -_- looks like snail to me..

some of the nicer one.. although not so presentable still..

we were imitating this!!! but ours look so different from the book's!! why do cook books always make things look easier than written!! oh well, at least we had fun!!

Fairy Cup cakes 2

wanted to try out this new icing that I've never made before. Butter icing with lots of lemon juice to cover the buttery smell and too-sweet icing sugar. had lotsa fun playing around with it!

haha and I wanted to try this 2-tier shaped cake tin! thanks Fang~! this must be the ugliest cake deco i've ever made! hahaha! sis & I had a great laugh over this -ugly but adorable- cake. it is very small as u can see from the size of the plate. I think it is really ugly man. and I wouldn't dare to eat it. hahaha! that shall be Derrick and my 6th Anniversary Cake. view from the top~ garnish with the waffer rose. and the rest of the cup cakes. this butter icing is much easier to handle than the sugar icing. this is the type that we see in most cake shops selling fancy cupcakes nowadays.

happy!! my favourite of all! the green is a little like wasabi green. haha thats becuz I left with orange icing, so i've no choice but to add more green to it to make it greenish.

Christmas Eve Fairy Cupcakes!

yet another Christmas! time flies. I still remember what I did last christmas.. family dinner and all.. wow. and now it's the end of 2007, next monday 2008. how fast! half day work today! happy! met fang to buy some baking ingredients and decoration after work.. satisfied with the buys as it is rather christmasy! happy! we decided to make some art & craft cupcakes! let our imagination run wild and the childish side dominates us. the day was pretty unplanned, i'm glad it turned out really fun! thanks girls! =D 4 new bottles of food dye! and 2 packets of candy deco and a bottle of candy butterflies! arh!
santa claus & some cute cartoon-like candy flowers. seriously, they are nice to see but not nice to eat.. damn freaking sweet!
plain cupcakes with lemon rind in it.. hope it can at least neutralize the sweetness.

and of course, food dye too! haha this picture is taken bcuz of the same colour for fang's braces and the dye!

and here goes our art & craft skill!! so fun!! it's been a while since we did such things together. everything is all too sweet!

eager to start of decorating everything! some blunders but we managed to rescue them. hahaha. was really fun! a good way to spend the day and bond with old friends =)

sylvia came over after that to have some girls time out. brought a bottle of red wine to drink away the night! oh man that freaking red wine cork is so damn difficult to get out!! we battled with it for over 10 mins and it was 12.10am when we started drinking -_- and thought we could Cheers to Christmas hahaha! but it was fun! 3 women battling with the freaking wine bottle! haha! it was hilarous!
