after D's POP on 12th May, it's a long 12 days leave back to civilian life again. booked a short holiday -just the 2 of us- fully sponsored by my dear. hah. and we're off to Nirwana Bintan again! we went last June.. and we're back again this year! swear i'm not going back there any time soon!!

the STUPID camera tripod is so damn freaky SHORT! the wind blow and my camera toppled over! see how short is it in compare with the Pringles can!! ARGH! is that even named TRIPOD?!?!
in the end still need the old fashion way to take photo -_- wind-prove
some people out there collecting dead corals.. those that are washed ashore bcuz of the monsoon season. sigh sigh. poor corals
like wad soci of tourism said. we used photography to slice out a neat piece of time. eliminating the unwanted and including the desired. these photos are such example.. the way i want to frame my memories in according to these picturesque photos. so that when i recall, I remember the touristic formulated sights. well, at least it makes me happy even though it appears shallow and touristic

food in Nirwana is really good! never disappointing! always up to the standard and never deviate from the past! love it!
some weekend night party at the Beach Club. plenty of sleazy dancers and weird weird ang mohs around scouting for -----
back to the hotel to end the night, I've prepared cake, cream and cherries back at home to surprise Derrick. a mini-celebration for our 6 years 1 month anniversary. hah. was so worried that I can't pass the custom cuz of so much food! and =D i think i'm smart in transporting the cake there =)
sliced cake, chocolate cream and cherries in the plastic bags. frozen for the long journey =)
and I did all the preparation while he's in the toilet!
=) surprise cake! just nice for supper!
Happy 6 years 1 month anniversary!
Next day, did some recreation and sea sports. damn i'm bad at using rifle! 25 bullets and NOT ONE got the cans! I can't even hear the cling sound!

derrick's result board. hah. not as good as mine! hahaha i shoot OVER, above and through the board =D and i concluded, it's such a lame sport. i rather step ants.
plenty of jelly fish up the coast! this is a fresh one.. still very jellyish. poor fellow. slowly it'll be surrounded by flies and dried by the sun. not forgetting being stepped and dragged by Derrick's mighty feet.

seasports at the beach, cold beer under the sun. I feel alive again! haha
unmistakingly, it's dinner at the kelong restaurant again. a must-have when u're in bintan. good food they have!
set meal for $62 per couple! so damn cheap!!!
the dinner was damn filling! too much food! we had a great laugh after seeing his humongous tummy! 1 and 1/2 bowl of rice + 4 man tou is no joke! haha!
end of holiday! 3 days 2 nights felt like just one day. the 12 days POP leave felt like 12 hours only. sigh sigh. these 12 days I practically disappeared from the surface of earth and submerged myself in his world. fairy tale is over! now it's time for serious work and date lines to meet. exam in one month's time--I've lost track of school life, readings and family time. aarrhhh!!!

hand in hand, we walked down the beach together...

yuck. u can see this typa crab every where. it gives me goosebumps. still does.
and Derrick stepped on a few purely out of joy. it's like as though he is stepping on cockroaches. the poor crab was flatten and the juice was squashed out! 
see how uneven the sand is? minute holes in it too? those are the crabs home!! they dig sooooooooo many holes on the beach that it spread out the entire corner of the beach. it was damn disgusting !! and gosh.. the first time I saw it, I didn't know what was that.. so I walked across bare footed! YUCK!!!!!!! still gives me the goosebumps just looking at the photo!

later that day, while waiting for our ferry, they had a hard-core tanning session while I try my best to hide in the shade and apply sunscreen every 20 minutes.. hahaha!
. . . Bast with the chicken every 15 minutes to let the seasoning get obsorbed. The important thing is to learn the signs of a fully cooked chicken. We don't like overdone birds. The tests for doneness start with colour. The skin should be dark golden and not black.. After an hour of roasting, you will get your golden-brown bird. . . --- hahaha! spot the metaphor? isn't it the same procedure for tanning yourself under the basking sun with tanning lotion?!?

on the ferry back to Singapore... beautiful sunset just in time to bid us farewell to Bintan Nirwana. It was a fantastic holiday!! Perfect to the very bit! Perfect companies! Good Foods! Fabulous services! Peace and Serenity! I wanna go back to Island life!!!
