A warm night, Derrick, Leona and I were happily chatting away and out of the blue. my sister came stomping into the kitchen and created a big hoohaa over some unknown brand doughnuts at Raffles City. bragging that her friend queued for THREE hours -even before the shop opens- and finally bought the legendary donuts that keep everyone in town waiting. the queues were -many many queues if you see before- said to be longer than the once Hello Kitty craze queue. Derrick, Leona and I didn't believed what she said and thought she's having one of her drama-mama episodes again. So, Leona told Raphael she wants to eat the legendary donuts. I told Derrick that I don't believe it is so delicious. Sis, of course, almost pleadingly, asked my dearest Derrick to buy and let her try. so there goes my silly boy...
HE QUEUED FOR -- F I V E -- HOURS BEFORE HE LAID HIS FINGERS ON THE DONUTS.
he started when the sun was bright and burning his ass. till he saw the moon when he left Raffles City. oh man. poor boy. without much thoughts and expectation, Derrick went empty-handed to queue and was terribly shocked to see the long queues that he couldn't even see the donut shop. at that time, he didn't even know the shop name. to make matter worse, he had a terrible eye infection that earned him 7 days MC. it's rather comical to think about it again. haha.. half way through the queue, he got tired, hungry, urgent and bored. called me and said "I miss you".. haha was wondering why is he behaving so weirdly.. then he told me that he went to queue for the donuts..
no wonder he called just to say that. hahaha!
couldn't kept the surprise long from me, complaining about his hunger and much battle with his male ego, he finally gave me the veto to accompany him in the queue.. so Leona and I rushed down to Raffles City just in time to place our orders.. only then we know Raphael, Leona's boyfriend, was queuing too. he tagged along Derrick's order.. hehe..

sinking his teeth into the first donut! white chocolate on the outside and strawberry jam inside!! didn't expected that! the donut is really really soft! not chewy like those cheap cakeshops!

oozing smooth chocolate out from the inside!! this is the best!everyone has a quota as to how many one can purchase. thus, Derrick bought the maximum, 24 donuts, so as to not waste his effort.. haha.. but trust me. it is really really worth it. although the queue is really mad! but the donuts are really delicious!! the softest donut I've ever eaten before!! and and! it may look too sweet for girls, but surprisingly they are not! the donuts really have a stunning blend of taste! the exotic flavours are really good and matching! especially the shit-lookalike donut, it's mocha with lotus. sounds and looks weird. but it's fabulous!! love the surprises that we get when we first bite into the donuts! didn't expect jam or chocolate to be in there and the unique flavours! love the orange flavoured donut!
