Songs of the Sea, Sentosa

Monday, March 10, 2008

Wendy looks pretty obscene doing that.. and she likes it.. worse- her mom forgot to remove her pamper. so can u imagine the amount of water absorbed? haha!
Rachel is evidently disgusted by the sandy ground.
night falls, we went for the Songs of the Sea. quite impressive.. the flying fire and water display. worth the money =) makes me feel like a tourist too.

the ugly fish, oscar. seriously, why did the person draw this thing up?! it even has the bugs bunny teeth!
pretty good camera huh. hahaha! night scene is not disappointing~!

new camera!!

Friday, March 07, 2008

yeah~!! to begin with! I bought a new camera during the IT fair in Suntec! went for the mad rush with Brian on Friday and didn't expect to purchase anything, thus I brought only $20 cash along. Unexpectedly, I got attracted to the Fujifilm promotion and sinned away $259 for this camera. Sold my Casio Exilim and got this new baby. sigh. I do miss my Exilim for the slim and handy grasp!

first photo I took with this cam! trial with Brian for the night mode without flash.. not bad not bad~

then the macro shot, which is what i'm looking for in a camera this time. this cam is much better than Exilim! better pics for my cakes and bakings!

happy! opening ceremony for this camera --> Derrick's POP and Bintan!

Family day @ Aqua Marine

just when i'm blogging this.. dad warned me about the terrorist who escaped from Changi Prison! oh-my-god~! must be some corruption in there! anyway...

saturday's family dinner. thank goodness derrick booked-out in time for the sumptous dinner at Aqua Marine again. $56++ per pax.. but it is definitely worth it! plenty of seafood, good desserts and even Haagen Dazs ice cream!
wide range of desserts. the first station that we see.. the tiramisu is a must try!
french style of seafood dishes.
cheese. it's so nicely arranged that we feel guilty touching it!
smoked salmon with caviar!
roasted peppery beef with mango tango sauce!
ice cream with the chocolate fondue. instead of stick strawberries, they have bite-size donut balls for the fondue.

hugeee BBQ tiger prawns! even bigger than the medium size plate! surprisingly, it is juicy and well-marinated. i expected it to be stiff and chewy. nice!
the humongous rock oyster! 3 mouthful to finish 1 oyster! eek!
but it's really really fresh..
layered salmon with cream.. i almost thought this is cake!
the chef's specialty! pepper crab! i love love love this!! usually pepper crab is dry and sandy, but this has lots of sauce! and the flesh is succulent! must try!
boiled live prawn. it's sooooo long!

the chocolate-coated donut!
drunken prawns with XO. too much of this will nose-bleed man!
prawns, flower crabs and scallops.

even she's loving it! short weekend with D. this coming one is longer~! next is POP! then byebye Singapore! hello Bangkok! =)

Mega Curry Crab!!

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

weeeeee~!!! happy! buddies and I met up this evening to eat CRAB! big crab! previously was my introduction to them, now's Brian's turn! out of the bee hoon crab, normal chili crab and pepper crab, we chose CURRY crab. never seen that in any menu before. must try!! the curry is not very oily and thick, thus makes it easy to drink as soup! plus plus the sweetness from the crab! nice~! at the '3 Hao' restaurant.
shocked as we were, the waiter gave us plastic sheets for T-shirt protection! look like those toilet bowl cover! hahaha! and Brian happily laughing off his head when he saw Leona putting on and forced this photo out of us!

here comes the curry crab~ the meat is so sweet and juicy! not at all chewy and stiff! $49 for this pot*
they say male crab tastes nicer. really?
fried man tou! a must-have with crabs! especially good with the curry!
the damn huge "gong" !!
along with sambal kang kong and fried rice.

wah.. an accomplishment! the shell removed from the gong perfectly!
and thats our dinner~! satisfied and happy! we walked down to Great World for something sweet. Island Creamery was our choice. Reverso - Teh tarik - Cookies & Cream. cheap and good!

somebody teach me how to cure eye bags!!! dont tell me sleeping is a good method cuz it's almost impossible to do too much of that!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

and how did we managed to get such nicely angled photos? hahaha! with the help of........... there! the dustbin! with a patch of saliva at the side! hahaha! lucky that's not my camera!
