Indochine

our deepavali holiday celebration. kinda. and celebration for lesser date lines.
childhood days -the bubble thingy that I stole from my tutee!
hahaha! Brian - show this photo to Zhe Guang!
and then a visit to his cat... fat white and delicious =D
headed down to Fareast for dinner, the place where Brian has been telling us about. really fabulous japanese food! reasonably price! feels authentic too! but then, what determines authenticity? a sociologist would ask =)
squeezy and narrow place! soon after we arrived,
there was a long queue outside!

fresh, thick and juicy salmon! both raw and smoked are good!

Claypot codfish! the portion is so huge! we got sooooo full subconsciously!

dropped by Indochine for some live band music and alcohol. a perfect way to end the nite with my besties.
lee-oh-na!

and then we headed home for a nite affair =) i'll miss those dimly-lighted nites with you.. and the cozy snuggles in bed.. lee-oh-nah!

La vie en rose... oui..

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

this is it. some may rejoice. some may be sad. they said that we are in control of our lives. It is more like we're characters acting out Life. merely playing our roles and letting the circumstances control us. who says we are in control of life? if so, i could have achieved more. after going through so much, I give up hoping and accept the fact. determination and faith went bleak when responses are mild. so what's there to fight for now? happiness is afterall, cannot be fought to get.

friendship. i've found really good ones. "good" is a word too simple to describe. if not for their supports, i think i'll be shattered beyond imagination. the mosquitoes could have sucked me dry and dengue may send me to hell =) thanks friends! i've experienced the magic friends can do to me. putting on smiles and wiping off tears. thanks girls (and guys) for hearing my cries and grumbs. i think i would have exploded if not for u all.

i've also experienced the lethal effect of friends. i never knew they can be such great influence in life. I never knew that their presences are so significant that it can change one's character, perspective and choices. after 6 years of moulding the foundation, things still changed with the sudden appearance of them. it's amazing to think of it now. and i hope foolishness will catch up in years to come. the dual effect of friends still leave me stumble for words and disappointment at heart. love, afterall, is not as important as we both thought. friendship is. everything seems like a paradox suddenly.

what ever will be, will be. thats all i have to think for now. self-deceiving doesn't work anymore. so it's time to face reality. disappointed. cheated. hurt and jaded. so wad? they seem like nothing to some. others could be gloating aside. i still stand by the entry i made earlier. read and spread for all i care. and celebrate for success. celebrate for failure.

put forth the stress and torments. i have my family and friends to fall back on.

I'm not a computer. please refrain from telling me "don't think too much" or "concentrate on the important". If I were...
I wish I can format my mind, deleting all the past and reinstall again.

I wish I can close some Windows in life and just focus on Microsoft Word and Google Translate.
I wish I can refragment my mind, so that I concentrate on the positives and group the negatives together. Neatening the memories in me.
I wish there's anti-virus too. So that I can remove virus and bugs in life. Most importantly, sieving away the Bad & Pop-ups.
I wish there's also a Back-up folder in my life, so when I lost that part, I can retrieve it back.
I wish I have a MSN in my system, to connect God, Mum and me.
I wish I have a mental Photoshop too, so that I can edit redundant images in memory.

Please. I'm not a computer. If I am, I could have done all these things. then wouldn't life be simpler and neater?

Road Trip!

Sunday, October 28, 2007

a rather last minute arrangement to go for a food road trip with Carol & friends after TR lecture in the morning. the rush was madness. i still can't believe I did something like that. haha. and our journey begins... thank God there's no traffic jam at the custom! both going in and home!
CaHol.. plenty of laughters and talks in the car. really had much fun. and we drove to this Bak Kut Teh shop for lunch. damn nice soup and meat!! would definitely miss it! cheap too!
the main purpose of this photo is the menu behind. but oh wells. she sat there. hence she's in too. so don't complain it's unglam. hahaha!
bak kut teh + pig's stomach soup + pig's trottle + salted vege ! good food!and look at the fats. yuck. sinful and unhealthy. sorry to those who love it. haha
and we went for shopping - while carol and say yin argued over the name of this shopping centre. haha.. comical group of frens.. i mean.. wads the big deal about the name? what matter is the things and food sold inside!
only managed to get a top. sigh sigh. I broke my promise. haha.. Swear i will save more next month for USA! brings back good memories in Australia with papa & sister--
haha -- Terence and his Esplanade-shaped ice cream!
and the must drop-by place when we're in johor. Dunkin' Donuts!
this amazing coconut! the man is able to scrap out the whole ball of meat and water without bursting it! --so it actually comes out like a water bag! unfortunately, when he was showing off his skills, he flinged and smashed one coconut right into my foot. how nice. haha..

back in the car for dinner by the seaside!
BBQ chicken, fried chicken and roasted corns

went to a seafood restaurant. but our stomach let us down. hence we settled for something lighter.

good day! thanks to these wonderful group of friends and the patient driver! food was good! shopping was sinful. and seeing Carol stressing over a bag is funny. hahaha.

how weird that 1 nite it was a breakup. the next nite was lament. then, a comforting talk with my sleep-over mate. now a sudden road trip to Johor. haha life is weird. But thats the joy in it! =D
